  • Exchange 2003 Cluster adding new partition

    Hi,

We have an Active/Passive 2 node Exchange 2003 cluster. Our Information store Database is increasing, we are running on limited free space on the drive patition, We would like to know how to add a new partition to our exchange cluster and what thing should be taken care during this implementation. Can we have half of our mailboxes on the new partition (mailboxes with large size and activities).

So if anyone would guide us with a step-by-step on how to add new partition, move mailboxes to the new partition,

    Thank you.

I would add disks and resize the partition instead

Resizing and increasing partition will have a down-time, as database mounting procedure etc.

Adding a new disk resource will help, but new step to add to exchange cluster, and other points to consider also while working on it.
