  • exchange and sub domains

Hi I hope someone can help me with some exchange questions.
We currently have an exchange server that handles all our email internally and we host our website externally with a third party.

We want to create a sub domain on our web host that will also handle email for the sub domain.

    www.domain.com : internal email server
    www.sd.domain.com : webhost email server

I am presuming that email sent to SD.domain.com will be sent to our internally server and will be rejected as it does not exist on it. So how do I get exchange to forward this mail to my webhost?

I hope that make sense to someone!!!!

    Thanks

    Re: exchange and sub domains

You can add any domain that you need Exchange to consider as internal to either the Default Recipient Policy, or to a new one, depending on your configuration.
