my database limit size is 75GB.

all my mailboxes size = 30gb MAX.

In the last few days the Priv1.edb grew up 2 120GB.

Im runing eseutil and it seems not to be the issue.

    thanks for your help,

What are you trying to do with ESEUTIL?

What AV software are you using?

When was the last time you've scanned your store?

    Are you allowing open relay?

Re: Priv1.edb grew in 2 days to 120GB

Hi Daniel and thank you for quick replay.

If my total mailboxes are no larger than 30GB and my priv1.edb is 120GB
then may be i shuld difrag it.

my anti virus is Trend Micro for SBS.

The weird thing is that Exchange can mount the store and the users can work
      with outlook.

The Users complaind that the outlook stuck for few times in the last days.

I dont think that eseutil will help this time it's something else.

I'll be grateful if you will give me any clue to solved it.

      Thank You,

      Roey.

My Exchange is not open for Relay,
and do you mean that scan my store with AV?

I mean that you should make sure you don't have some sort of nasty virus. Scan your stores with a good and updated AV that is built for that version of Exchange (not with a file-level AV).

When you say that you use ESEUTIL, what do you mean by that? I asked you before but you didn't answer.

            hello daniel,

            I run the eseutil /d ...
and only 2gb decrease from the large database.

do u suggest to run also eseutil /p?

            thanks,

            roey.

No. The /p switch is for fixing the db, and in your case I don't think it needs fixing.

              When did this start?

Did you scan your mailboxes with a decent AV?

Do you have a long enough online maintenance window for each store?

I keep asking, but you're not answering, and frankly, it's your problem, not mine, so either start answering or get your own help!

                sorry about that,

I had scan with my AV "trend micro for exchange" and it didn't find any viruses.
this problem started in the last week.
the online maintenanc worked fine till it grew,
Do you think that i should exmarge to pst and build a new database?

                Thanks,

                roey.

No, I suggest you further investigate it before nuking it. Try to think, did you make any changes prior to this happening?
