  • How to upgrade Exchange 2000 / W2K?

We have Windows 2000 AD and Exchange 2000 with about 125 mail boxes working for last 6 years.

Since our server's C: drive has only 400MB free space, I hope the upgrading to Windows 2003 is not easy.

Please guide me how to smoothly upgrade or migrate my servers to W2003?

    ???

There are sufficient guides available online to walk you through. If you already have the new server running WS2003, upgrade the schema and prepare the org for the introduction of EX2003, then install EX2003 on the new server, move mailboxes, replicate public folders, configure connectors, RUS and OAB, configure external mailflow, and make sure all clients are re-homed to the new server. Then shut the old server down for a while, see if anyone complains. If not, after a while uninstall EX2000 and decommission the old server.
