  • Recipient Policy - use group in Filter rule

    Hi!

It's driving me crazy. Probably I just don't understand something right.

I have Exchange 2003 and AD. For some users I want them to have email on a different domain - not to have 2 emails, but just one.

I created OU and spent a half day before I read about not able to create filter rule on OU (http://forums.petri.com/showthread.php?t=17750).

Ok. So I created Security Group and putted users in it. In Recipient Policy I wrote this LDAP query (&(objectCategory=group)(cn=CroMaili)) . I applied this policy but users didn't get right email address. They got email address from default policy.
Strange thing is that CroMaili group got right email address.

It seems like the system doesn't propagate settings from groups to users.

Does anybody have any ideas what I'm doing wrong. Probably I misunderstood the hole concept.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

I found the problem. It was the wrong LDAP query.

    The correct is (&(&(&(objectCategory=Person)(objectClass=User)(me mberOf=CN=CroMaili,OU=OUName,DC=domaine,DC=domaine ))))

This one shows the users in the group and not the group name. It appears I totally misunderstood the meaning of group.
