  • Exchange 2003 Admin Calendar utility for DST

    hi,

I a bit behind on this, but I have Ex2003SP1 and are currently planning on patching the system w/ the 2007 DST and Exchange Calendar util for Admin.
Admin tool requires .net 2.0 , curently have 1.1 and OWA,OMA works.

Question: will I have OWA/OMA issues or other unforseen issues loading .net 2.0 in order to run the Util? and if so what are the workarounds.

I'm also thinking of installing .net 2.0 only for the duration of the ex utility process then uninstall it. any issues with an uninstall of 2.0?

    Thanks,

    Dave

First question has to be why are you still on Exchange 2003 SP1? SP2 has been out for well over two years and is considered rock solid. I cannot believe anyone is still on SP1.

.net 2.0 and .net 1.1 should be considered seperate applications. They are not backwards compatible. I have .net 2.0 installed on every Exchange server that I work with without any issues.

    Simon.

      Thanks Simon,

For now I'll consider the SP2 update.
