  • Outlook/Exchange2003 problems

    hey all, all my Outlook 2003 users started getting
    Task 'Microsoft Exchange Server' reported error (0x8004011D) : 'The server is not available. Contact your administrator if this condition persists.' when Sending/Receiving this morning. It also says...Disconnected at bottom corner of their Outlook window. I rebooted the Exchange2003 server several times and noticed the partition that stores the 'mdbdata' files is very low(500MB free of 136GB) I'm thinking most of the problems we're having is due to low disk space but I'm not sure. Any help on this is appreciated

    It probably is due to low disk space. What's taking up all the space? Is it the edb and stm files or are there log files as well? If there are log files, you can run a backup to backup the logs and purge them to free up disk space.

      I would agree that the low disk space is the most likely cause. You really should be looking to keep at least 10% free at all times.
