  • How to move DBs are hosted on a SAN to another SAN?

    I have the following situation:
All Exchange DBs are hosted on one SAN on different volumes.
There are 3 Exchange servers with 4 SG and 5 DBs in each SGs.
There are one DB is empty in each SGs.
Due to some reason I need to change hosting for the DBs to another SAN.
Could you advice the best way in terms of reliability and time of the moving process.

After you connect the LUNs to the Exchange server and they appear to be local to the server all you need to do is to move the DB files via Mailbox > Properties > Database tab to the new location. They will dismount, move, and then mount.

Make sure the DB files are on a different LUN than the Storage Group Logs.
