  • Exchange Hosting recommendations anyone?

Looking for Exchange Hosting for a company I work with. They do business all over the world, but I assume that using services located in the US would be better for them when they travel there (and they do, a lot), unless you know of a better solution located in Europe.

They require around 20 aliases right now, but the numbers might grow in the next year.

I'd love to get your recommendations based on personal knowledge, mostly regarding to prices per mbx, mbx limits, ability to control users and aliases, access anywhere (OWA, RPC over HTTPs, ActiveSync), and availability and backup.
    Cheers,

    Daniel,
I don't have any experience with hosted exchange implementations, but there's a small list here, http://www.msexchange.org/services/Exchange-Hosting/

You might even give it a shot to contact the guys over at www.orcsweb.com and see what they might have. I'm not sure if Scott still works there, but a couple years ago there were a couple MVP's working there.

hosted exchange is def the way to go. currently we have Intermedia hosting ours and it's been smooth sailing since the beginning. I have also worked with two other providers in the past but I would say my experience with intermedia has been the best. the price is around $11 a mailbox and that includes owa. I've got my blackberry set up through them but I know you can do activesync as well.

      Good luck!

I work With a company out in Massachusetts they only works with resellers (which I am ) I will not link to it but you can contact me off line if you are interested.
        Some details:
1gb mailbox ($15/user/month) other sizes available
        EX 2003, 2007
        OWA
        RPC/HTTPS (Outlook Anywhere)
        ActiveSync
        Blackberry Server (added Monthly fee)
        Outlook 2007 / Entourage 2004 Included
        5 9's uptime
        GAL access
        Aliases available.
        additional domain $2/month
        Daily backups
        Compliance archiving available too.

I have been really happy with them, and from the minimal calls from my clients, so are they. They do not provide end user support. If you want to sign up as a reseller contact me.

oh, don't be tempted by the prices of that company that equals two.....I had very bad experiences with them

          Thanks guys.

Jake - Thanks for the link, I know that one already.

Lior - Isn't 15$ per 1GB mailbox too high to pay?

          Anyone else?

Depends how important email is to the company.

You will get more per buck in the US than you will in Europe.
You could look at cobweb.co.uk - they have an Exchange MVP on their staff. I used to work with them under another name with hosted Exchange 2000 (that was "interesting"), one of the first in the world to do hosted Exchange.

It is unfortunate that they aren't in the UK, as I am putting together a solution at the moment (see my blog) but I need the billing information to be in the UK, otherwise costs go through the roof.
