  • Public Folder Management

    Hi Experts,

I have a requirement to administer permissions on public folders. As part of this requirement, I should be able to give permissions to users using some web interface/tool which audits the ACL changes.

Do we have any such tools available? or Can some one give me a sample code for setting ACLs on entire public folder tree?

    Thanks,
    Sitaram

    Re: Public Folder Management

Public Folder permissions should only be applied under client settings. Do not change the permissions on the security tab or the AD permissions as that is permissions to the object, NOT the content.

If you are using Exchange 2003 SP2 then you can propagate the permissions down using ESM. Right click on the root and choose Manage Settings. Then step through the wizard to add the client permissions and then propagate the settings.

    Simon.
