Re: yahoo! wont receive email from email server

You need to treat inbound and outbound email differently.
If outbound email is failing then it could be that they are blocking you.

If inbound email is failing then you either have DNS issues or are rejecting their messages.

Do you have message tracking turned on? If so, does that show the messages are being delivered to Yahoo's servers?

If the messages are coming in as a delay, can see you where the delay is taking place in the message headers ?

finaly i get to talk to the man lol well i been reading of your website and everything there is been very helpful to me so tanx!
and like i been testing this problem..and i noticed..that its works in the morning....i cant send to yahoo....then later on it doesnt..its either delayed...or never gets there....but the yahoo emails do come into my server..and i was reading this

      http://www.amset.info/exchange/smtp-connector.asp

      and where it says this

For relaying outbound email through your ISP or another smart host:
If you want this connector to be used for just certain domains, then remove the *
Enter the first of the domains that you are having problems with, using everything after the @
For example, if you are having problems sending to AOL, then enter "aol.com" (minus the quotes), Hotmail, enter "hotmail.com" etc.
If you want to route all outbound email through this connector - leave the * in place.
Make sure that you leave the option "Allow messages to be relayed to these domains" DISABLED. If you don't then you have turned yourself in to an open relay

i only have the * so if i add the yahoo will that help my fix my problem???

Re: yahoo! wont receive email from email server

Is the SMTP connector configured to send email by DNS or by using a smart host ?
If it is using DNS then removing the * and replacing it with yahoo.com (or whatever domain) will not help. If you want to try routing email via your ISP for specific domains then you need create an additional SMTP connector with the domains listed, and then on the existing SMTP connector change the cost of * to 2, so that the other SMTP connector is tried first.

Re: yahoo! wont receive email from email server

If you are sending email through your ISP and the message is not getting there then either the ISP is losing the message or Yahoo is blocking the ISPs server. You can use Message Tracking to confirm the message was sent to the ISPs server, but after that the message is out of your hands.
You can try asking the ISP if they have problems, but most ISPs will deny they have any problems at all - even when they do.
