  • Restore information store into the recovery storage group

    Hi,

    I've Exchange 2k3 SP2 and i use ARCSERVE 11.5.
i backup my exchange with the information store backup(not break level).
now i need to restore a folder for some user from his mailbox that he deleted.
my question is can i restore the information store from the tape into the recovery storage group directly?
if i can how i do it?
if not what are my restore options to restore this specific folder?

    Thx

There should be instructions on the vendor's web site on how to do the restore.
Basically you create the recovery storage group and then do the restore as normal.

These links will show you how it works on NTBACKUP, simply adjust for your product.

These are the instructions for Veritas.

I haven't done it with Arcserve as I prefer to use a product I trust, not something I would use the installation CD as a tea coaster.

      Thx
it's works great like in veritas simply create the RSG and then do a restore mailbox.
