    Re: Mailbox Move Probelm

I am pretty sure that is permissions related.
Does the account that you are using have permissions in both admin groups?

      Re: Mailbox Move Problem

      Hi,

      Thanks for the reply..

I do have access on the admin group, as my ID is member of enterprise admin..

if its permision related to issue then it should logged the event for permision denied in log and in eventvwr.

if you recheck the event and failure log its showing hkis084 server but mailbox is in hkis083????

I think the better way is take backup of mailbox, delete, and create new mailbox maitinging exchange attributes...

      Kindly suggest...

      Regards

        Re: Mailbox Move Problem

Do not presume that because the account is an Enterprise Admin that it has access to everything. Certain account types are restricted from having access.
It doesn't have to be an access denied to be a permissions issue, if the permissions cannot be read. Also the event viewer will not pick up certain types of permission issue.

When a mailbox is moved, a new mailbox is created on the destination and then the content is moved in to that new mailbox. Therefore the reason you are getting the error in reference to the other server is because the mailbox has either been created and cannot be opened or is not being created properly.

            Re: Mailbox Move Problem

Stop using an Enterprise Admin ID for a start.
Use a plain Domain admin and ensure that it has the relevant rights in the domains and admin groups.
