  • Cannot Read email in OWA 2003

    Hello all

Can anyone tell me why my users can access owa and see the messages in their inbox - but NOT open and read the emails? When you double click the email - nothing happens - it plain refuses to open. However, messages from the system administrator (in the same inbox) can be opened and read. All other regular emails do not open.

User cannot also open the Public folders in OWA (error on page message) but everything works fine in regular outlook.

An SSL cert is installed for mail.xyz.co.uk from GoDaddy.

Has anyone suffered from this problem - I cant find anything about this in google.

    Thanks in advance

Is there a pop-up blocker stopping it?

Good thinking - but I have no pop up blockers and besides - the undeliverable messages do open as I said earlier.

A double click on them opens up the message in a new popup window.

      any more ideas?

Can you post the Public Folder error?

Can you see the messages in the reading pane (automatic view)

          Trying to access Public Folder:

          ! Error on page
This opens up on double click to reveal:

Problems with this web page might prevent it from being displayed proprly or functioning properly. In the future...

          Show Details button - reveals:
          Line: 368
          Char: 6
          Error: Object expected
          Code:0
          URL: https://mail.<domainname>/public/?Cmd=navbar

          Does that help any?

Thanks for your suggestions so far...

Maybe your IIS is corrupt -- could be worth thinking about reappplying the latest Exchange SP

Re: Cannot Read email in OWA 2003

              Very important question.

Does this happen for ALL users, or just one?
If it happens for just one user, does it follow the user to another machine?

If it is happening for all users, is the server fully patched?
Does it happen using IE on the server itself?

              Simon.
