    Re: internet services manager

    Hi,

It is "Internet Information Service (IIS) manager............

If it's not coming up the either register it's .dll file or simply run adminpak.msi to install the complete administrative tools.

      Re: internet services manager

      hey
I've tried what you said, it did not work out.
I am trying to set my exchange server as a relay, they ask me to do the following:

      1. Verify that SMTP is installed on the Microsoft Windows Server 2003 server. To verify that SMTP is installed:
      a. In Control Panel, double-click Add/Remove Programs, and then click Add/Remove Windows Components.
      b. Under Components, select Internet Information Services (IIS), and then click Details.
      c. Under Subcomponents of Internet Information Services (IIS), verify that the SMTP Service check box is selected. If the check box is not selected, select it, click OK, and then complete the installation instructions.

      2. In Internet Services Manager, add the SMTP mail domain for which you want the Windows server to relay. To add the SMTP domain:
      a. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Internet Services Manager.

      waiting your reply

        Bit confused here.........

        1. Are you not able to open "Internet Information Service (IIS) manager"?

        -------or-------

        2. "Internet Information Service (IIS) manager" is opening but "SMTP virtual server" is not coming up................

"I am trying to set my exchange server as a relay"

If Exchange has already been installed then the SMTP server was upgraded and its management moved to System Manager (the SMTP server will disappear from IIS). Having IIS & SMTP installed is a prerequisite to an Exchange installation.

Here is the default path as an FYI:

                %systemroot%\system32\inetsrv\iis.msc

                  Re: internet services manager

I also cant find Internet Information Service Manager

I tried the suggested run command adminpak.msi and my PC (running XP Home) returned "windows cannot find ..." All I want it for is to change a script time out on one web site I access regularly - it nearly always times out before presenting me the required page.

                  Any ideas?

                  Thanks in advance
