  • SMTP logging not working

I am trying to turn on SMTP logging to find out why some emails are not being sent out of the queue

I have followed the article here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/265139 for Windows SBS 2003 and turned on the logging to maximum however no logs are being produced.

    I am running SBS2003 SP2, with SP2 on exchange

    Any help is appricated cheers

    Re: SMTP logging not working

Have you restarted any services since changing the settings?

Are you looking at the Application Event log for SMTP events or are you looking at the log files in the system32\logfiles\smtpsvc1 directory? They are two different things.

The server went through a full restart. Was looking in the exchange log folder as that was specified in the exchange manager.
