  • Problem in mounting the database

    Hi ,

    We are using SBS 2000 , Exchange 2000 . Now i have tried to restore my exchange off line back up with the help of ntbackup file . It restore my old backup files successfully but now while mounting the database it give me this error.

    An internal processing error has occurred. Try restarting the Exchange System Manager or the Microsoft Exchange Information Store service, or both.

    ID no: C1041724

    I have try to search the resolution on google but it says space problem in drive but i am having enough space in my drive 28 GB ,which is quite a 4 times then my database size . my database size is about 5.2 GB

    Please help me to solve this issue..please ...

    Hi ,

    When i am trying to mount the data base i got the error Event ID 9518 . I have made my norton antivirus service completely disable even though its not starting ...please help

      In application log i got this errors .

      Event id: 9175
      The MAPI call 'OpenMsgStore' failed with the following error:
      The Microsoft Exchange Server computer is not available. Either there are network problems or the Microsoft Exchange Server computer is down for maintenance.

      please help me to solve this issue ....

        Got exactly the same problem today. Help!!!!!!

        I've tried all the usual stuff - restart all Exchange services, rebooted server, applied SP2 for SBS2003 and SP2 for Exchange.

        Still cannot mount the database.

        Totally stumped!

            Actually the thing is my database was not in consistant stage so i do need to repair the database as well there is problem in security privillages so i make it proper and then try to mount it so now its mount successfully .

            But now i am facing one problem , i have restore my exchange DB to date 31st dec 2007 and today is 8th jan 2008 so in my office some of the users who are using Microsoft Outlook 2003 , they people are having a OST and now when they are trying to sync the OST with exchange they face the problem so is there any way to sync there OST with Exchange ,

            I mean to say they people are having mails from 01st jan to 7th jan in OST but exchange is not having that mails in DB so now how to synce it with exchange ..


            please help ....
