  • ISP changed IP address

Hi, new to these forums looked like a good place for some help. I am at my friends job he has a small company with around 20 pc's running Microsoft Server 03 with Exchange 03. His ISP changed his IP address and they no longer receive mail, can you guys tell me the best way to fix this problem.

    Thanks for any help,

    Re: ISP changed IP address

Not knowing any specifics about the reason the ISP has changed the IP address your friend has been using. I would say that the records that are maintained by the registrar for the specific email domain need updating. Therefore your friend needs to go into his account and change his Domain A record to reflect his new IP address given to him by his ISP. This is all assuming he is paying for a static IP address.

    Regards,

    Jewen.

your friend needs to look into getting a static IP from the ISP.
