  • Contacts public folder

    Hi Petri forum,

My query is about an issue with a contacts public folder. If i browse to the public contacts folder in my public folders list, in the properties the option to add the public contacts folder to my outlook address book is greyed out. Only the administrator account seems to have the rights to do this. I've added myself to the administrators group and the option is still greyed out. Can anyone give me some direction

    Thank you

    Re: Contacts public folder

I had this yesterday, and the problem was that it was grey for users on Outlook 2000.

On Outlook 2002, outlook XP and Outlook 2003, the option was not greyed out. Does that help?
    Best wishes,
    PaulH.

        Re: Contacts public folder

        try this:

Tools > Email accounts > Add a new directory or address book
then select outlook address book and set the display order.

You will need to restart Outlook and then it should not be grey any more.
        Best wishes,
        PaulH.
