  • Outbound email stuck in queue on new 2nd ex2k3 server

    I have an existing win2k domain with ex2k.

    I expanded the ad schema and added a win2k3 server with ex2k3 on it.

    No errors what so ever.

    I moved a coupel of test subjects over without any problems. All intracompany mail is great, but these three users can not send external emails. All of their emails are stuck i nthe queue of the new server.

    I have moved their mailboxes back over to the older ex2k server until this issue is resolved.

    I followed SImon's guide over at amset.info.

    I don't have any exotic settings on the smtp virtual server no do I have any custom connectors.

    I know i must be missing something really basic but I just can't see it.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    OK I found out the problem ( thanks to a poster over on tek-tips)

    My smtp outbound proxy on teh firewall only had the ip address in it for the old exchange server. Once I added the new ip address for the second server the queues emptied.
