  • Exchange 2003: Mail stuck in queue.

    Hi,

I'm having a weird issue with a SBS2003 using Exchange 2003. Sometimes emails sent by the users will freeze in the server's queue forever. They just sit there until i right click and force the connection, then they all get delivered. Any clue what could be causing this ?

    Regards,

What reason does the server give for the queue?
Do you route email directly or via a smart host?
Ensure that any AV software is not scanning the Exchange directories.

    Simon.

      It says,

      No Additional Information Available.

Server is routing email directly outside, no smarthost.

Only software installed that could scan emails is Antigen, which is also the anti-SPAM.

Right now, there's an email stuck in the queue with its status being "Scheduled".
There's nothing under "Time next connection retry".

So, if i don't force it, it will most likely sit there forever hehe

edited: just noticed that Exchange didn't have SP2 installed, i'll update this tonight or something and see if it solves the problems
