  • May we install Exchange 2003 if we have Exchange 2007?

We want to install Exchange 2003 (migrating from Exchange 2000, Windows 2000 domain).
The product Exchange 2003 is no longer available from Microsoft. So we have purchased Exchange 2007 CDs, Keys, CALs.

May we install Exchange 2003 instead and how to proceed with Microsoft in this kind of situation?

    Regards,

    ANormand

Depending on how you purchased it you may have downgrade rights. When your ready you can go back to 2007. Talk to your reseller to see if this applies to you.

      Hi,

I found a document on Microsoft site. It could be useful for everyone about this kind of question and Microsoft products.

In most cases this is fine. You will need to purchase a media kit from Microsoft for the older version. Microsoft are the only people who can confirm this, but I cannot think of any reason why you cannot, as Exchange isn't OEM'd.
