    Using Exchange System Manager
To delete public folders, under Folders, right-click the appropriate folder, and select Delete. This action results in the following actions:
    1. It deletes the public folder.
    2. It generates an outgoing hierarchy replication message.
    3. It sends the outgoing hierarchy replication message from this server to all other public folder servers in the organization. The outgoing hierarchy replication message provides information about the deletion of the public folder.

here is the link to the page i chopped the above quote from:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/l...f59f11ef9.aspx

in the event that doesnt delete the public folders, you can use ADSI edit to remove them. i would save this as a last resort...

It sounds like you are trying to remove the Exchange objects and components manually. If you are removing Exchange entirely from the AD domain then run the Exchange setup.exe and select the remove/uninstall option. Note that you will have to delete any mailboxes (other than system mailboxes) that exist before Exchange set up will run the uninstall.

Your are correct, run setup /removeorg after removing mailboxes etc. The way you posed your response reminded me of this guy.

If you have only one server, WHAT are you going to replicate the PF store to?????

Why not use Outlook to export the Public Folders to a PST file so you have a copy of the information in them?

Re: How to remove exchange server 2003

Can you be more clear regarding what you are wanting to do. In your original post you said that you want to remove Exchange, so why do you want to delete or replicate anything? Why not just uninstall it, or are you not trying to remove it?

                    thanks
Actually when i tryed to remove exchange server it fails every time. so I thought that it may be the problem of Publec folder. so now when I tryed to remove error comes you can't delete it just replicate it to another server.
but i have only one server in my Org.

                    this is the problem

Re: How to remove exchange server 2003

                        What is the goal here?
Is it to remove Exchange and that is it - no more Exchange?
Or are you removing an Exchange server because you have another one. I know that you have said you only have one server, so if you removing Exchange just to get rid of it then instructions can be provided on how to remove every trace of Exchange from the domain.
