  • Page cannot be displayed...Cannot find server or DNS error

    Hello
I've tried getting RPC over HTTP working via apache2 running
on a Suse10 box onto my w2k3. The certificates are installed on the apache machine. On the exchange server i have changed only the rpc service(i have followed your instructions.. #How can I configure RPC over HTTP/S on Exchange 2003 (single server scenario)?#
    On the exchange-server:
    - The tests http://exchserver/rpc are working fine
    - The tests https://exchserver/rpc/ are generating #Page cannot be displayed...Cannot find server or DNS error#
I have also tried with the internal fqdn, and also with the external fqdn.
    What i have to do....??

Thank you very much for your help!

    Regards
    ppd

Re: Page cannot be displayed...Cannot find server or DNS error

    1. First, ensure that port 443 is not being used by another service on that same box.
When you state that you are using RPC over HTTP, do you mean you are using an Email client like Outlook to take advantage of the RPC protocol or are you using Outlook Web Access.

One more thing...Can you point out the instructions you are using to setup RPC over HTTP?

i have configured both in my environment (single-server) and have them working correctly.

do you mean that you are publishing OWA and RPC via an apache2 front-end (vs. ISA or exchange) ?

verify the proper ports are open... and what kind of security are you using between the fe/be..

if im off, just disregard my post.

Re: Page cannot be displayed...Cannot find server or DNS error

So...apache will be the frontend server, the ports are on listening, no security in the test-phase.

          Thank you again
