  • Routing Groups Overseas Exchange 2003

I have exchange 2003 servers in Turkey, Brazil and NY.

Even though I have a VPN between Turkey and Brazil messages between those two servers get delayed, but messages to the internet (outside address) get's sent through.

I was going to setup Routing Groups for each site and then an SMTP connector to NY (which has a reliable/main VPN and can route between both easily).

My question is: I only want to route traffic for Turkey to Brazil through NY and vice versa, but no ALL SMTP traffic.

Is there a way to specify what type of traffic?

Thanks in advance and chag sameach!

When you setup the routing groups, put SMTP connectors in to the routing groups with the scope set to routing group. That will allow you to send outbound traffic straight out to the internet. The only traffic that goes over the RGC is internal traffic.
