  • Import & Export in Exchange

    Hi guys

I have got 2 users on my computer one "Local computer "administarator" and anothe users joined to Domain "user1" and the computer is connected to Exchange server .
I have got lots of contacts on "administrator" .
I need to transfer the contacts from "administrator" to "user1".

    Thanks a lot.

Re: Import & Export in Exchange

The easiest way is to launch Outlook as the Administrator, click File, Import & Export, then EXPORT by choosing "Personal Folder File PST" and export the contacts (by selecting Contacts from the folder tree in the Export Wizard) to a file called "AdminContacts.pst" which the User1 can see. Then launch Outlook as User1 and click File, Import and Export, then IMPORT those contacts from the file.

Don't forget to tick the box that includes subfolders when you are exporting.

Now the 2 users will both have the contacts that Administrator had before, but they will be separate copies. The process won't delete any existing contacts USer1 had before. The wizard lets you choose what to do about duplicates.
    Best wishes,
