  • problem with address lists exchange OWA environment

    Hi,

We share Exchange with 3 companies, each company may not see the other.
We have set up several companys in Exchange 2003. All with seperated Global Address lists and offline address list. Followed the manual from here:
    http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/...003_Part1.html and http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/...003-Part2.html

Everything works fine for Outlook 2003, every company is seeing only his own group members.
But with OWA the is a problem, here everyone sees every user of the system.
When you compose a new mail, select To: and then type a caracter in the search bar you you see all the names that start with that caracter. Also names of the other companies.

We had the same problem hosting email for about 100 clients. Here's what you can try: Create an OAL for each company just like you created a GAL for each company. Assign the same permissions to the OAL that you assign to the GAL. Instead of using the GAL as the source for the OAL, use the appropriate address list from the All Address Lists container. This seems to work for us for both OWA and RPC over HTTP.

Unfortunately this does not solve the problem here.

First in the all address lists container, i made the address list
Then made offline address lists for each company and used the address list from the all address lists container.

Also deleted the default address lists.

      Problem stays

Did you remove the Everyone and the Authenticated Users groups from the permissions of the address lists and assign permissions to only the users who should get the address list?

Yes, on all adress lists, Global address lists and offline address lists (ADSIedit). Only usergroups have rights on their own list. But problem stays the same.
