  • Unable to access owaadmin.

I took over from another exchange admin, when i try to access OWA via
https://salsa/owaadmin it asks me for user/pass which i put in but then i get the

On the login box it says:
The server salsa at salsa requires a username and password.

This error (HTTP 403 Forbidden) means that Internet Explorer was able to connect to the website, but it does not have permission to view the webpage.

For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.

I'm an enterprise admin access level but can't seem to access this, is there a way to reset the password for owaadmin?

    Anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.

I do tend to think 'outside the box' so others may not always share the same views.

    Re: Unable to access owaadmin.

OWA Admin doesn't have its own password. Nothing in AD does.
Are you accessing OWA admin remotely on a server or via an installation on your own server?

When you authenticate, what do you put in? It should be domain\username and then the password.
Have you tried using THE administrator password?
Have you confirmed that authentication settings for that virtual directory are not set to anonymous, but are basic and/or integrated.
