  • Problem with accessing Outlook

    Hey,

    I am getting the following error:

    "Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The information store could not be opened. "

    I am using Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003.

    Any ideas?

    Can other users access their email?
    Can you access it via OWA?
    Have you checked all services on the exchange server to ensure the specific exchange ones are running?
    Have you checked the eventlog?

      All services are up and running.
      Everything from the server side is fine. All other computers can access thier account.
      From another computer with the same username I can access the mailbox (same settings I used).
      On the same computer with another user I can access the mailbox (I gave permissions to the other user).
      On another computer with the user I can access the mailbox.

      It has something to do with the specific user profile on the specific computer. I thought you might have ideas of which files (in the profile) could cause this problem.

        Try to reconfigure Mail Profile.

            Just rename your profile and log on to create a new profile.

            You will now for sure then whether its the profile or not. If it works just stick with the new profile

              Are you able to reconfigure outlook profile correctly?

              You might be getting "Check Names" error.
