  • Cannot mount a database because there is a corrupted transaction log in Exchange 2003

    As the title shows,

After the restore of Storage group (exchange 2003), i am unable to mount i back again, since one logfile is corrupted (header corrupted)

i recieve well known error ID no: c1041724

with events (id 9518 and 412) in application logs

    any suggestions?

can i manually remove troublesome log file and try to mount database? if yes what are the results?

I searched forum, and found similar posts, but none offered solution.
I found similar problem with solution for Exchange 2000, but not for 2003...

    please advise...

tried and i am unable to do soft recovery,
now the only option is to do hard recovery... at least it seems so...
