  • Distribution List problem in Exchange 2003

    Hello,
I have 1 MS Exchange 2003 STD edition server. From last 30 days I am getting problem with existing DL's.

When person within perticular DL sends e-mail, nobody receives.
Some DL's are working. I tried by sending test mails. Every1 in that perticular DL received my mail.

I checked "Tracking" section in Exchange "System Manager".
    It stucks at "Catagorization" .

Few months ago I upgraded Exchange server and after that I upgraded domain server to Win2k3. I have 2 DC's. 1 of it upgraded to Win2k3

Still 1 DC is running Windows server 2000. So I can not convert Global DL's to Universal.

    Any solution on this ?

    Thanx,
    Amey.

Messages stuck at the categoriser usually means AV or Antispam application interference.

I am using "CA Antivirus" On Windows server 2003 which is hosting "Exchange 2003".

And default windows firewall is disabled. I am not able to move "Infrastructure Master" role from Windows 2000 DC to my Win2k3 domain server.

I dont have any IDS or Spam filter hardware. Any clue ... ?

Ensure that the AV software is not scanning any of the Exchange directories in its real time or scheduled scan. I usually recommend that all elements of the Exchange folders are excluded - \exchsrvr and all sub directories, the location of the transaction logs and databases.
