  • Deny Exchange user login in LAN

    I user windows 2003 sever enterprise sp2 for domain controller and use exchange server 2003 enterprise for mail server. I create user account in Active Directory for 10 staff with their mail box. But 5 user they work in office so they can login computer in LAN and more 5 user they don't work in office so I don't want these user don't have permission to login all computer in LAN. I really need help! please.......

    Can't be done.
    In order to work with mailbox on Exchange you must have a valid user in the domain with minimum permissions:

      Yes indeed, but you can restrict the computers to which they can logon to.

        Thank you. How can I restricted use login computer in LAN. I try to find in GPO but i can't do.

          It's not in a GP setting it's on the "Account" tab of the user properties. Click the "Log On To" button and add only the exchange server to the list of allowed computers.

            Thank you so much now i can do, but I this way can do one time one user. If i have 1000 user so I have to do 1000 time. Can you tell me any way work with Group or OU?

              You could probably use VBS or WMI to do it to a group of users but I don't have any examples for you.
