  • cannot send new mail in OMA

Exchange 2003 latest SP & updates
I've searched everywhere and posted in the MS newsgroup on this. I've deleted and recreated the VD, but still have this problem.
Users can access OMA and read email, calendar etc without any problems.
They can create new messages, but when they try to send them they get an error notice that the procedure could not be completed and the message is saved to their drafts folder.
    Server shows an Application event:

    Source: MSExchangeOMA
    Category: (1000)
    Event ID: 1503

An unknown error occurred while processing the current request:
Message: The specified procedure could not be found.

The only thing close that I've found is a MS KB article referencing mailbox size, but that isn't an issue.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
