  • GAL "empty" in Outlook client

    Some users of Outlook XP and Outlook 2003 cannot see any addresses in the Global Address List. On Outlook 2003 I changed the users to cache mode and the entries in the GAL appeared. There is no cache mode in Outlook XP as far as I am aware. 2 more users "lost" the GAL today. Exchange 2003 SP 1 is in use.

    1. Check the connectivity between the Exchange server & the AD servers using: Dcdiag, Netdiag, nslookup.
    2. Install Exchange 2003 SP2 if possible.
    3. Verufy that the workstations are updated with Windows Update for the Office & Windows.
    4. Try to delete and recreate the Outlook profiles.
