  • Need a Deleted Items Folder Report

    This seems really basic, but...

We have a single back-end Exchange 2003 server running in 2003 native mode. I need a report that will summarize the users' Deleted Items folder contents across 8 datastores - item count and total KB in the Deleted Items folder. I've spent several hours trying to track down a simple reporting tool to do this, but mostly the 3rd party tools are expensive and concentrate on message flow and not mailbox contents. We've only got about 350 mailboxes total.

Any one have a suggestion for a reporting tool?

    Thanks in advance.

Mailbox Manager in report only mode should do that for you...

Thanks. I'm kind of getting a handle on the recipient policy business, but how do I get it to send a report only to an administrator or admin group and not to each and every user? If each user gets a message about their Deleted Items and Sent Items folders, we'll be deluged in phone calls.

I am pretty sure that if you set the reporting option to send to administrator it only goes to the administrator, not to the users.
