  • message delivery fails

I'm using Exchange Server 2003 on Windows SBS 2003 and I'm trying to send a message to someone (from which I can receive messages) but after a while I get reply from my server that the delivery failed on I get these errors in my Application Log:

Message delivery to the host '<ip address>' failed while delivering to the remote domain '<domain>' for the following reason: An SMTP protocol error occurred.

    and

Following connector's linkstate is suppressed because it either points to or comes from a leaf RG node.

    What could be the reason?
