  • Windows mobile SSL issue

I bought a godaddy ssl a year ago and works fine for OWA and outlook over port 80.

    Its valid till 2009

However i have come to set up a windows mobile device and get to the 'looking for changes' when i sync to the server, then it stops with an error.

"the security certificate on the server is invalid"

    can someone help?

    Re: Windows mobile SSL issue

Browse to the server from the Windows Mobile device and it will give you a certificate prompt. That will show you which element it is failing on.

      browsed https://domain/exchange

get a message - information you exchange with this site cannot be viewd or change by others. However, the name date or issuing authority for this sites security certificate is invalid.

      do you wish to proceed.

so obviously the cert is wrong?

why does it work on a PC's browser?

someone said it maybe because its a wildcard SSL which isnt supported by WM. but i know its not.

        Which element was wrong?
You should see a prompt which signals one of three...

        date
        trust
        name
