  • email encryption

    Hello,

Is there a good method for encrypting emails that will be sent back and forth between different companies?
We have an exchange, pki, and users use outlook so we can use S/MIME but doesn't the user at the other end need to import our company's certificate?
Is openpgp a good method? Is there a free version out there that any of you have used that you recommend?

    Re: email encryption

The most important thing in cross organizations email encryption is that you must to relay on an external CA - like Verisign or Thawte, so both sides could authenticate or get access to that CA.
