  • error sending email on behalf of mail enabled group

    Hi,

    I have a problem.

    Situation:

    Mail-enable group :TT
Mailbox-enable User : shoeb, member of Mail-enable group: TT

The user "shoeb" wants to send the email using From:[email protected] To:[email protected] When he does so he gets an error of undeliverable "you do not have persmission to send to intended recipient..................."

If the user is made domain administrator(against company policy) he can send email.

Is there a solution for this.?

    regards
    Shoeb

Re: error sending email on behalf of mail enabled group

Have you granted that user send as permissions on the group?

Open up the properties of the group in ADUC and choose the Security tab. If you don't see the security tab, close the group properties and then choose View, Advanced Features.

On the security tab find the permission "Send As". grant the user that permission.
    Apply/OK out.

It may take a while before it is live, so if it doesn't work immediately don't worry.

    Simon.
