  • Exchange CALS on Server 2003

I had a company thrown my way that has Server 2003 installed with 25 user licenses. They want me to install Exchange Server 2003 SP2, but they only want to purchase 15 CALs because they do not need 25.

Will there be any consequenses if I do this?

    TIA

In the past that was ok. Had a site 4,000 users and 800 Exchange CALS. If things haven't changed, it will mean only 15 users can be accessing Exchange at one time.

    2 2 was 1 2.

If this is NOT SBS then CALs are done on an honour basis. Doesn't matter how many you have in the system. The license logging service is a piece of junk anyway and should be turned off.
