  • OWA-(111) Connection refused

Suddenly am getting the referenced error when attempting to access mail via OWA.

Also stating, "The requested URL could not be found."

Am running Exchange 2003 on a win2003 server system. Is this an IIS issue, port 80, or something with all of the DST updates? It is an issue I must resolve quickly as many users simply access mail via OWA rather than outlook since mobile.
    Thanks!!

Sorry, but yes, my home web page is up and running, only receive error when attempting to access, http://domainname/exchange

Check to see if your default website has been messed up. See if the Exchange virtual directories have been messed up, especially their permissions. If you have another Exchange server you can simply compare the settings on both servers.

Also, it's possible that somehow the v. dirs have been messed up beyon manual repair, so you can re-create them using this article:

How to reset the default virtual directories that are required to provide Outlook Web Access, Exchange ActiveSync, and Outlook Mobile Access services in Exchange Server 2003:

I was suspicious of the website getting hosed up. That department has been "tinkering" with it to get the FrontPage extensions working properly. That was Th evening and from what I was aware the OWA started Friday. I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks a million for the advise.
