  • Exchange 2000 DST 2007

We are running Exchange 2000 on Windows 2000. I am concerned about the
upcoming DST change. According to this http://www.microsoft.com/windows/timezone/dst2007.mspx
Both the OS and Exchange will have to be patched, but mentions having to
have Extended Hotfix support and to contact your technical account manager .

I contacted Microsoft and they want to charge $4500 for the exchange patch.

I found a 3rd party windows 2000 patch (http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/200...-daylight.html) which will update the OS, but I have yet to find a free solution for exchange 2000.

I would much rather spend the $4500 toward upgrading exhange 2000 to 2003, before I considered paying for a patch. However, I didnt expect having to get this approved by the end of February, and so we would like to do this upgrade next year.

My question is, if we dont update exchange, either pay for the patch or get exchange 2000, what will happen? Is it just that calendar appointments in outlook will be off 1 hour from March 11 to April 8?
