  • exchange on different subnet

    Dear All,

I have a new system which i need to implement and needs to connecto exchange, but both systems are sitting on different subnets.

what do i need to do to make sure the system can communicate and send and receive e-mails from exchange?

I have exchange 2003 running on windows 2003 server sp1

    Thanking you.

I guess you need to set MX pointers at both Exchange server's and some paramters at SMTP gateway .

Need a little more info about your "system" and topology.
Is there a real reason that the subnets have to be different?
