  • Default GLobal Address List

I deleted the default global address list and recreated 2 Global Address List (one for each Domain). Now Oulook clients cannot create new profiles.

Those with existing profiles can login and view all address list but can't view global address list.

I have chacked the permissions- ok. The RUS is working fine. It stamps the users with all other lists except the new GAL.

    What could be wrong?

Why did you delete the default GAL? What type of filter did you configure on the new GALs? Does the PREVIEW button show you the required results?

      GAL

I needed for one group to see only members that belong to their Department.

When i preview i can see the required results for both Global Addresss Lists.

What version of Outlook? If 2003, are you using Cached mode?

          GAL

          Outlook 2000.

I can't create a new profile for existing users but they can access their mail using OWA. I get the msg '..Name cannot be match
ed to a name in the address list.'

Those who have existing profiles cannot view contents of the GAL.
