  • Outlook 2000 and rpc over HTTP

    Hi guys,
Sorry for the funny question - does Outlook 2000 supports RPC over HTTPS if working with Exchange 2003?
    Thank you!

I'm sure a search will tell you the system requirements but IIRC, the they are Outlook 2003 running on XP (Pro?) connecting to Exchange 2003 (configured properly of course)

Re: Outlook 2000 and rpc over HTTP

The requirements for RPC over HTTPS are very strict.

Exchange 2003 installed on Windows 2003, with at least one Windows 2003 GC/DC in the domain.
Client must be at least Windows XP SP2 and Outlook 2003.

It does not work with older versions of Outlook.
Don't forget that if you have a correctly licensed version of Exchange you are licensed for Outlook 2003 as well, there is no need to stay on a version of Outlook that is almost seven years old.
