  • Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 Help

    Hi,
Hope everyone had a good holiday season. I have an NT 4.0 domain, getting ready for AD. As I sit here, thinking of my action plan, I think 2 phases would be a good way to proceed.

I understand upgrading the NT4 to Server 2003, but how can I make Exchange 5.5 work with AD, until my migration is done?

Is there a way to have exchange 5.5 still function, without any user intervanetion, until I plan to move forward?

I only have 3 days to do the entire thing, but if I do it in 2 phases, I can get 2 weekends to do it.

Any help, suggestions, KB articles used in the past would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

Re: Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 Help

As a first step, you will haveto install the ADC (Active directory connector) in order to sync the Exchange 5.5 directory and the active directory.

Thanks...I actually decided to start fresh with a NEW AD environment, so I can clean up an old mess left behind.

1 thing I need to know is, how can I export all my exchange 5.5 mailboxes and import them into the new exchange 2003 server?

      thanks

I would recommend you to use Exmerge:
