Re: Can not add E-mail address to User account

In Outlook or OWA create a new message and in the To: box type [email protected] then press Ctrl + K. What happens when you do that?

Re: Can not add E-mail address to User account

        1. Try to run Update on the Receipient update service in the ESM and create the email address again.
        2. Try this one:
        http://www.exchangepedia.com/blog/20...in-active.html
(Don't forget to run the query in the "Entire Directory" if you have more then one domain).

Re: Can not add E-mail address to User account

          There are no distribution groups.

in OWA the Ctrl + K feature just underlines the E-mail address in the TO: field. Tried this on a different SBS2003 server and did same thing. Logged into a different account also.

There is one additional error that was found that make be contributing to this problem. the E-mail address may be assigned to a Public Folder. Public Folders appears to be damaged.

When attempting to RIGHT click on the Public Folders in Exchange Manager the error message "C1038a21 - The mail proxy for this folder cannot be found. This may be due to replication delays. The mail enabled pages will not be show".

Any idea how to correct Public Folder issues? Can they be deleted and rebuilt?

Re: Can not add E-mail address to User account

            1. Check this one:
            http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328740
            http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro...#Errorc1038a21
            2. Do you have more sites with Exchange installed? check the replication and connections between them in the PF section in the ESM.
            3. the email address is probably configured to one of your PF mail enabled as you already understood.
