  • Allowing users to modify permissions on Public Folders

Is it possible to allow a user the ability to modify the security permissions through Outlook on the Public Folders. At the moment, i have to use the ESM or my outlook (as domain admin) to add users to specific public folders. I would like to delegate that task to the group secretary but for her to do it through outlook, not the ESM.

    Thanks

Assign them the Folder Owner permission.

Re: Allowing users to modify permissions on Public Folders

The key thing with Public Folders is to do all permission setting through Outlook. Don't touch the permissions in ESM. If you do have to change the permissions in ESM, then change "Client Permissions" only - don't change the others.
