  • Is there a way to setup an alert for exchange

We had a problem yesterday, we call could exchange and recieve internal mail. We use Ironmail as our spam filter/and secure docs. Ironmail hung up and exchange qued up about 3200 messages. We didn't realize this was going on until about 3 hours later. Is there a way to setup an alert to tell us that mail is not going outbound?

    Regards,
    Bryan

Would you think 15 mins would be a good setting for Que alerts? I don't want to be in a situation were I am getting alerts that mean nothing, and I don't want to be in a situation were there is an issue and its too late and could have been fixed a lot sooner. Has anyone setup alerts before, what would they recomend?

        Regards,
        Bryan

I'd say start low and adjust as necessary. Maybe start at 5 mins. and work up from there. But I've only dealt with one production Exchange environment before. Others may have better insights.
