    Hello everyone,

My querry is about mail redirection to our own internal exchange server. Our ISP host our domain. I telephoned them and asked them forward mail to our exchange server. On our exchange server i have created a host record called which has our NAT address. I then created a mx record pointing towards the server to which exchange is installed on It's now been 48 hours since contacting my isp asking them to forward the mail traffic. I've also enabled port forwarding on our router to port 25 which then forwards the traffice to private IP of the exchange server. No external mail is being routed to our exchange server. The error message i get is from my ISPs dns server informing me that the mail accounts don't exist. Can anyone help me out. I can send mail out ok.

Where did you configure your A and MX records?

Your MX records are currently pointing to ISPs mail servers.

As the ISP is you need to call them up and ask them to change your MX records. If that is what you have asked then they haven't done it.

If you have attempted to setup MX records on your own internal DNS then that will not help the internet deliver your email, as they cannot (and should not) use your internal DNS servers.
